France Football report that the 19-year-old will not join Liverpool this summer now the French outfit are refusing to sell the youngster, whose contract still has two years left to run.

Sagnan has been a recent revelation for his club, having been promoted to the Lens’ senior squad this season after making five appearances for them last term.

OPINION

The second tier French side may be refusing any Liverpool attempts to land their youngster, but do not be surprised if they did end up bringing him to Anfield this summer. There is no stopping them making a third offer for Sagnan, and this time Lens may relent and agree to part ways with him. Obviously, if the Reds were successful in another attempt to sign him, he would not be getting near the first team any time soon. He is undoubtedly a player they want to take on in order to nuture his talent, which he has shown glimpses of his few appearances for the Ligue 2 side last season. Signing someone as young as Sagnan may be seen as a risky move for Jurgen Klopp, but should any further efforts pay off, then it will be a very wise capture indeed. Signing young players has its benefits, and he will surely progress into being one of the club’s best centre-backs if he ever made the move.
