Best of luck Danny. Sorry it didn’t work out at Liverpool, always wanted you to do well with us. Top class professional and I hope you have a full season and score plenty of goals for Southampton. Just not against us though? Will always be a fan of yours!!?? #YNWA

Wish him the best. Always worked hard and seemed a good player but was hampered by his injuries. £20m is a good deal.

I couldn't be more thrilled for @IngsDanny. I'm so sorry he never got the chance to show what he could do at Anfield because of all his injury problems. Wish him all the best at @SouthamptonFC.

Good luck Danny all the best, you’ve had horrid luck with injuries and then it was always going to be hard to force your way into the team ahead of firmino.

OPINION
It seems Liverpool fans while probably expecting Ings to exit are still sad that he has left the club. The 26-year-old only managed to featured 25 times for the senior side due to injuries and it’s shame that he never got to prove his talents on a regular basis at Anfield. It seems that Reds supporters are very understanding over his situation with a lot of them hoping that he does well for Southampton now that he has joined them. The 26-year-old needs to get regular playing time at St Mary’s in order to remind the Premier League that he is a forward worth taking a note of.
