Despite the fact that Liverpool have splashed the most cash out of all the Premier League clubs this summer, they need to make the most of the remaining time left in the transfer window to find another attacking talent.

Boss Jurgen Klopp needs to seek out names that are capable of giving the prolific front three the service that they need to ensure that they are on target regularly.

Step forward familiar face Wilfried Zaha, a winger for Crystal Palace.

The Mirror have reported that Chelsea are in pole position to sign the speedster after Tottenham pulled out of the race due to the Eagles’ demands of £75 million – but the Reds must swoop for the Ivory Coast international themselves.

Currently, the support Liverpool had for their strikers has somewhat significantly reduced – Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain is sidelined, Adam Lallana has not been up to scratch, and Sheyi Ojo looks likely to depart the club.

That just leaves Mohamed Salah Sadio Mane and Xherdan Shaqiri left as the the only registered wingers on the books who are at the standard to play in the first team.

They should be desperate for another winger to join their ranks, and Zaha looks to be the perfect option for them at the moment.

Liverpool may have forked out a large amount on players this summer, but they are more than up to the task of meeting the £75 million asking price.

The 25-year-old would add the speed and pace that Klopp needs to complete his team puzzle, and he would be mad not to challenge Chelsea for his signature.

Not only would Zaha provide the much-needed pace, he also has the ability to score goals, which is evident in the nine goals he netted for his team in the 2017/2018 campaign.

The Reds must now pounce for the sought-after winger, and raid Palace for Zaha right under the noses of their rivals.
