Some Liverpool fans have reacted on social media to Torino’s bid to try and secure the services of midfielder Marko Grujic.
The Liverpool Echo reported on Wednesday that the Italian club had offered to take the 22-year-old central midfielder on loan for the season with an option to buy him for £9million next summer.
While the newspaper quickly stated that the Reds had rejected the offer and that a move to Turin wasn’t on the cards for Grujic anytime soon, fans still opted to tweet their feelings about the deal.
One Reds supporter revealed that they’d much rather have him on the bench this season while another claimed that Torino’s bid wouldn’t even get them a clipping from the player’s big toe.
Live 4 Liverpool have rounded up the best tweets about Grujic below:
I don’t know what anyone else thinks but every time Grugic plays he impresses me. I’d much rather him on bench than another Loan spell. Looks much more of a ten million pound player also.

Good, as long as he plays

Seems like the logical thing would be to negotiate a loan with them without a clause to buy. Hard to see him wanting to sign a new contract though with many doubts over his future.

OPINION
Deciding what to do with Grujic is no doubt causing Jurgen Klopp a headache as the 22-year-old is at a pivotal stage of his development. As several fans tweeted to suggest any move that saw the talented midfielder get regular games would be a wise one as clearly he would struggle to break into the Reds’ midfield as it’s packed with very impressive players. However as some fans allude to the amount being offered to sign Grujic is not only ridiculously low, it’s bordering on insulting, the club should not be agreeing to a deal that signals that his long-term future is away from Anfield. The 6ft 3in tall midfielder (Source: Transfermkrt) is a promising talent that could one day be a regular fixture of the Reds’ team as he showed glimpses of what he could potentially offer the Reds while on loan at Cardiff City last season. While Reds supporters clearly aren’t in favour of Torino’s bid for their midfielder, at least, based on their club’s decision to quickly reject it that the hierarchy wasn’t keen as well.
