Some Liverpool fans heaped praise on defender Trent Alexander-Arnold for his display during his side’s 3-2 victory over Paris Saint Germain on Tuesday.
The right-back, who earns £40,000-a-week at Anfield (Source: The Sun), played the full game as his side continued their winning start to the 2018/19 season and fans were particularly impressed by him.
One supporter tweeted that Alexander-Arnold pocketed PSG’s Neymar by keeping him out of the game while another shared that they thought he was the best player on the park.

OPINION
Alexander-Arnold is an asset to Jurgen Klopp’s side and was unfazed playing a PSG side stacked with talent on Tuesday. As several Reds took to Twitter to share, the 19-year-old kept Neymar in his back pocket and that is no easy task when you consider how talented he is and how far more experience defenders than Alexander-Arnold have struggled to deal with him. While James Milner and Jordan Henderson also have cases to make about why they should have won the Man of the Match award for their displays against PSG on Tuesday, it’s easy to see why fans have taken to praising Alexander-Arnold following their side’s latest win. It’s hard to believe that the defender is still a teenager as he looks ready to compete with the world’s elite now let alone when he improves which he no doubt will as he continues to feature for Klopp’s team. Hopefully Alexander-Arnold continues to be a fixture of the Reds’ side for long time yet as he is definitely a player who can aid their quest for silverware.
