I really wanted Henderson to start. He’s looked sharp in his sub appearances. He was awful today. Real, real bad.

Henderson is a really good player but I don't think he's suited to how the team plays. #LFC

Henderson not really bringing anything to the table. Keita adds a new dimension to the team. Firmino has been underwhelming too. Good thing is defence looks fairly steady. #LEILIV #LFC

OPINION
Henderson did look decent in the three appearances he had made from the bench so far this season but it was still odd for Jurgen Klopp to hand the midfielder his first start against Leicester City. The Foxes have looked good so far this season and appear to be a side packed with energy so they were also going to give the Reds’ captain a tough task on Saturday. As one fan pointed out Henderson appeared to be given the run around by Foxes midfielder James Maddison as he proved himself to be a nuisance and looked a lively presence. The Reds midfielder, who earns £100,000-a-week (Source: Spotrac), will have to up his game very quickly if he wants to secure a regular starting place this season. However while Henderson didn’t exactly cover himself in glory before being subbed in the 71st minute of the match, it was really harsh of one fan to share they thought the midfielder didn’t suit the way his side plays. The English midfielder impressed during his 2017/18 campaign and shouldn’t be written off after one bad performance.
