BT Sport pundit Robbie Savage has predicted a resounding win for Liverpool when they face Huddersfield Town at the John Smith’s Stadium on Saturday.

The Reds are seeking a win after drawing 0-0 with Manchester City before the international break, and the outspoken pundit has predicted that Jurgen Klopp’s team will put three past the Terriers to secure an emphatic 3-0 victory.

Savage has tipped Klopp to “pile the misery” on his former number two David Wagner – who is currently Huddersfield boss – by remaining undefeated this weekend.

“Jurgen Klopp will pile the misery on his former No.2 David Wagner with the Reds to remain undefeated following a 3-0 win,” Savage wrote in his column for the Mirror.

OPINION

Based on Huddersfield’s recent form, it would not be surprising to see Liverpool run riot and secure all three points on their travels to the John Smith’s Stadium. The Terriers are hardly the toughest of opponents, and fans will expect Liverpool to complete a rout to maintain their unbeaten start to the season. It is important that they do this here, as keeping within distance of Manchester City is of the most paramount significance at the moment. Mo Salah and Virgil Van Dijk are both expected to be fit for this clash, so Liverpool have no excuses really. Savage is not the most accurate of pundits normally, but you cannot argue with him here – anything other than a win for the Reds seems impossible. Liverpool’s front three will have a field day with the Huddersfield back line, and who knows, we may even see Salah get on the score sheet after his mixed start to the campaign.
