Jamie Carragher knows all about Liverpool tasting success after lifting multiple trophies with them and his verdict on the club’s current owners proves that his former side are clearly geared to achieving further success imminently.

The Reds icon during an insightful interview with This Is Anfield delivered his verdict on the club’s current owners and it shows that the correct foundation are in place for the good times to come rolling in at the club.

“I’m a big fan of the owners. I do like them. Obviously, they haven’t got Manchester City money, they can only do what they’ve done,” Carragher told This Is Anfield.

“I like what they’ve done with the new stand, new training ground, they’ve brought in Jurgen Klopp and there’s money there to spend. People always talk about net spend but we’re spending. We’ve got a world record defender and goalkeeper.”

Carragher is never one to shy away from speaking his mind, shown by his current stint as a Sky Sports pundit, so for him to publicly endorse the current owners is a huge reflection of how right they are for the club.

Few known the club as well as Carragher as not many can claim that have featured more than 730 times for the Merseyside giants like the retired defender has.

However aside from Carragher’s opinion being one that should hold water due to his vast knowledge of the club, he highlights severals reasons behind his opinion that show it’s only a matter time before the club achieve great success under it’s owners.

The pundit points out the investment in the training ground which aids any team’s quest for success as having good facilities plays an important role in getting the best out of players as well as attracting the top-talents.

Carragher’s reference to Klopp is also important as aside from just recruiting him, the owners have stuck by him despite his reign not leading to trophies as of yet.

While the German manager has clearly been a success at Anfield other Premier League club’s hierarchy may have pulled the trigger by now due to their impatience for silverware.

Finally the former Reds defender also highlights the fact that the club have money to spend in the transfer market and have shown their willingness to do so by breaking records to bring in Alisson and Virgil van Dijk.

This two signings, despite it being early days in the Brazilian goalkeeper’s Reds career, already look like being ones that will see success arrive.

Therefore it’s clear that given Carragher’s verdict on the current owners, Liverpool are clearly geared for imminent success which could even arrive this season.
