Liverpool will be aiming to secure a win against Huddersfield Town this weekend when the two sides meet in the Premier League, and Jurgen Klopp is expected to make two changes.

The Reds drew 0-0 with Manchester City at Anfield before the international break, so they will be undoubtedly hoping to secure a win to keep City on their toes.

During what was a rather debilitating international break, three Liverpool players sustained new injuries – with Mo Salah, Naby Keita, Sadio Mane all suffering from set backs.

Virgil Van Dijk has aggravated his rib injury, but there are no doubts surrounding his availability to play against the Terriers, especially now Holland manager Ronald Koeman has said there are no issues.

However, during the top of the table clash with City, midfielder James Milner limped off with an injury – so it is pretty much set in stone that the 5ft 9in [Transfermarkt] mainstay will not be able to feature at Huddersfield on Saturday.

This means that summer recruit Xherdan Shaqiri could be recalled to take Milner’s place, in what would be his second Premier League start for the Reds.

Klopp is not expected to make any more changes from the stalemate with City, but Trent Alexander-Arnold is expected to regain his place at right-back, while Joe Gomez will shift back to his preferred role at centre-back.
