A number of Liverpool supporters have been reacting with wonder to Mohamed Salah’s first half performance against Cardiff City on Saturday.
The Egyptian put the Reds 1-0 up with an impressive finish from a tight angle after nine minutes at Anfield, as the 26-year-old appears to have rediscovered his phenomenal form from last season.
The Liverpool fans have been understandably thrilled with their star man’s first half showing against the Bluebirds, with many of them asserting that he is back to his best.
COMMENTARY
It certainly appears as if Salah is back fully firing after a somewhat indifferent start to the new campaign. His (relatively) poor form would be another player’s best football, of course, but it seems as if the Egyptian has rediscovered his mojo on Merseyside. The Reds have begun the game hugely impressively, as they appear determined to attack the beleaguered Bluebirds with everything they have. It’s unlikely that Neil Warnock’s side will be able to cope with this offensive onslaught for much longer, and if everything goes right we could be in for a cricket score at Anfield. The Reds need to blow Cardiff away after a few slightly laboured efforts against some of the Premier League’s lesser lights this season, so Salah’s early opener was a big moment for Jurgen Klopp’s side. You can see why the Liverpool supporters were so happy with their talisman, as it appears he is firmly back to his best.
