A number of Liverpool supporters have been reacting with delight on social media to loan star Harry Wilson’s performance for Derby County against West Bromwich Albion on Wednesday.
The 21-year-old scored another tremendous long distance effort in the 4-1 win over the Baggies, following on from wonderful free kicks scored against Manchester United and the Republic of Ireland over the last month.
Unsurprisingly the Anfield faithful were blown away by the Welsh international’s latest display, with one fan even referring to him as a replacement for former Red Philippe Coutinho.

People say he doesn't have pace, or size, or whatever, and yet all the dude has ever done at every level he's played is put the ball in the back of the net. Hope to see him in red a lot next season

OPINION
This is becoming a regular occurrence, isn’t it? Wilson has been simply superb for Derby this season and is clearly flourishing under Frank Lampard’s guidance at Pride Park. A 4-1 victory over promotion chasing West Brom was a fantastic result for the Rams on Wednesday, and Wilson played a big part in it. His fierce left footed drive was a real scorcher and was just the latest in a series of top class strikes he’s converted this campaign. If he keeps up this level of form then it’s hard to see him not involved in the Liverpool first team in some capacity next season. He likely won’t be a regular starter, but he should be given the opportunity to be in and around the first team squad. He’s showing this year that he’s good enough to make the step up at Anfield, all Jurgen Klopp has to do is give him an opportunity. The Reds supporters clearly think he’s ready.
