Many Liverpool fans destroy Pogba for display against Everton

Many Liverpool fans on social media heavily criticised Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba for his performance during his side’s 2-1 win over Everton on Sunday.

The 25-year-old Man United player may have got on the scoresheet against the Toffees in his latest display, but a large section of Reds supporters took to Twitter to pan his overall performance.

One Reds fan during the game claimed that if you thought Pogba was a world class player than clearly you were a Man United supporter as Newcastle United midfielder Jonjo Shelvey was even levels above at this point.

While another simply stated that the Man United man was the most overrated player in the world and that the Reds had a better midfielder in the form of Gini Wijnaldum.

COMMENTARY

It seems a section of Liverpool fans kept their eyes on Manchester United’s clash with Everton on Sunday and were left very unconvinced by Pogba. One was so unconvinced by the Man United’s star talent that they even claimed current Magpies midfielder Shelvey is levels above, which is pretty impressive when you consider the English midfielder hardly excelled when a Reds player. Pogba scored the opening goal of his side’s 2-1 win over the Toffees on Sunday but after a terrible penalty miss, he luckily scored the rebound, as well as several other woeful moments in the match, it’s no surprise Reds fans were cheerily slamming his display. Given how highly-rated Pogba is then he should be doing more to impress while in a Man United shirt, however currently you wouldn’t feel comfortable backing him to exceed as one fan rightly tweeted below, he’s so inconsistent with his form as of late. While Man United fans will be hoping Pogba is able to get his form to the standard it should be week-in-week out, Liverpool fans clearly would rather he kept giving them reasons not to dub him world class.
