Some fans on Twitter heavily criticised Liverpool midfielder Ovie Ejaria for his latest display for Rangers on Sunday.

The 20-year-old central midfielder is currently on loan with Steven Gerrard’s side and a section of supporters, mostly Rangers fans, were not thrilled by his latest performance.

One fan tweeted that Ejaria had been completely anonymous during the Gers’ 4-1 victory over Hamilton on Sunday, while another claimed he was playing too deep which was stopping him making any form of a positive impact.

OPINION

Ejaria has been appearing to enjoy his loan spell at Ibrox so far but it seems his latest display didn’t hit the mark, at least as far as Twitter is concerned. It’s interesting that one Reds fan watched the game, probably to cast their eye over Ejaria as well as Ryan Kent, as their verdict says a lot. The Reds supporter in question tweeted that both of the Reds’ loanees, Ejaria and Kent, looked nowhere near being good enough for Jurgen Klopp’s team. However that seems only natural as both are still relatively young and trying to find their way in the game. If the promising duo were even anywhere near being first-team quality at Anfield then they wouldn’t have been loaned out and would have been kept to add depth to Klopp’s options. Hopefully both Ejaria and Kent are learning a lot from their time at Rangers as it would be beneficial to the Reds if they return to the club having improved from their experience.
