Jamie Carragher dubbed Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk fantastic after watching his performance against Arsenal on Saturday.
The former Reds player shared via his personal Twitter account that he thought it was fair that the Gunners and the Reds’ got a point each from Saturday’s clash with the game ending 1-1 between them.

Carragher also added that it was good game between the two Premier League sides in his brief verdict following the full-time whistle.
OPINION
Van Dijk continues to be a standout player for the Reds and it’s no surprise that Carragher opted to praise him. The centre-back was at his best to stop the Gunners getting a win on Saturday and was key to his side picking up a valuable point on the road. The former Reds player has spoken highly of Van Dijk before and will continue to rave about him as clearly the centre-back is going to continue to shine bright for Jurgen Klopp’s side. While some maybe disappointed that the Reds didn’t get the win, given the recent form the Gunners have been in, a point is a result to be proud of. The Gunners were a formidable opponent for the Reds on Saturday but if on song when the London club visit Anfield, the Reds should be able to have too much for them in the return fixture. However as for now, the Reds will just focus on the job at hand and put the Gunners to the back of their mind.
