Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is expected to bring Dejan Lovren back into the starting line up against Manchester United on Sunday.

The Evening Standard reported on Friday that the Croatian powerhouse is likely to replace Joel Matip, who is out for around six weeks after suffering a broken collar bone against Napoli in mid week.

The German must consider how many alterations to make from that famous Champions League victory, and he will likely make just two changes for the United clash.

With the aforementioned Matip missing out in favour of Lovren, James Milner will surely move to right back in place of Trent Alexander-Arnold, with Naby Keita set to come in in midfield.

Alisson underlined his status as world-class shot-stopper with a fantastic late save against Napoli on Tuesday and will almost certainly start here, while Andrew Robertson is a dead ringer to continue at left back. As mentioned, Milner will probably deputise for Alexander-Arnold, who the Standard’s report claims injured his foot against the Italian outfit.

At centre back, Lovren will surely come in for Matip following the Cameroon international’s injury. Virgil van Dijk is pretty much nailed on to partner the former Southampton man at the heart of the defence.

Keita will likely come in for Milner in central midfield, while captain Jordan Henderson and Georginio Wijnaldum will surely keep their places in the middle of the park.

The front three, as we know, essentially picks itself at this stage. Mohamed Salah, Roberto Firmino and Sadio Mane will almost certainly line up from the start once again on Sunday.
