A section of Liverpool fans were thrilled with the performance of Naby Keita and Fabinho in midfield against Bournemouth, with one even wanting them to be the first-choice options from now on. The Reds cruised past Bournemouth on Saturday as they defeated them 4-0 with Mohamed Salah grabbing a hat-trick. Despite the Egyptian winger obviously grabbing the headlines, a couple of supporters credited the Liverpool midfield duo with being the reason for their side’s comfortable victory. One supporter tweeted that the pair looked the difference when the Reds were attacking, while another directly claimed that they won the match for Jurgen Klopp’s side. It’s easy to see why a few fans held this opinion as if there was an area of the team that could have been criticised this season, it would be the midfield. However both Fabinho and Keita looked lively on Saturday and made the Reds’ central area look strong going forward as well as being able to help the defence out when necessary.
