COMMENTARY
Some Liverpool fans were left unimpressed with the display of attacker Roberto Firmino despite their side defeating Napoli 1-0. Several Reds supporters heavily criticised the forward, who earns £180,000-a-week (Source:Spotrac), with one goes as far to label his display dreadful. While this section of Reds fans were unimpressed, Firmino didn’t exactly have a bad game against Napoli. The forward seemed to work hard for the cause and aided his side’s efforts to win by popping up all over the place. While the Brazilian didn’t score or register an assist during the match, it’s fair to say he played his part. Whether these supporters have been frustrated with Firmino this season in general and that blurred their view on his latest display is arguable. For a lot of his outings this season the forward hasn’t looked at the top of his game and perhaps still is somehow suffering from a World Cup hangover. Yet given that it’s December that is a hard case to argue.
