Liverpool attacker Ben Woodburn is eager to head out on loan again before Thursday’s transfer deadline, according to Goal

The news outlet report that the 19-year-old Wales international is keen on another exit despite failing to make an impact at Sheffield United during the first part of the season.

Goal claim that Championship side Hull City are the preferred destination for Liverpool, with the Reds impressed by the progress of fellow starlet Harry Wilson at the KCOM Stadium last season.

OPINION

A loan move to Hull would be a switch that makes sense for Woodburn to make in the coming days. Wilson’s brilliant spell in East Yorkshire last season, in which he scored seven goals in 14 games, will have provided Liverpool with all the evidence they need that such a move would be beneficial for the 19-year-old. Obviously Wilson and Woodburn are totally different players, but it is clear that Hull are willing to give loan stars the right environment to flourish, which is exactly what the Wales international needs at the moment. Woodburn has struggled to make much progress since becoming Liverpool’s youngest-ever scorer a few seasons ago, and he really needs to be given a chance to play regular first-team football soon. Hopefully that happens at Hull if this loan move goes through, because Liverpool will be keen to see him start reaching his vast potential.
