OPINION
It wasn’t the best performance from Liverpool against Brighton & Hove Albion, but their main man stepped up to the plate and did the business on Saturday. It was Mohamed Salah who won and then converted the penalty which resulted in the Reds claiming a much-needed 1-0 victory at the AMEX Stadium. The Egyptian did well to win the spot kick, and it was definitely a penalty, and then smashed it home with aplomb. It was vital that Jurgen Klopp’s side got back on the horse after back to back defeats in all competitions and you could see the nervousness in their performance for much of the game. But when they needed inspiration their best player provided it. That’s what happens when you have world class players. They can be anonymous for most of the game but they only need a moment to change the course of a game. That’s very much what Salah did on Saturday.
