Liverpool right back Trent Alexander-Arnold signed a new long term contract with the club on Saturday, as per the club’s official website, and it’s safe to say that the Reds supporters are pretty pleased about it. The youngster has developed into one of the finest full backs in world football – and he’s still only 20 years of age. He is another sign of the remarkable progress Liverpool are making under Jurgen Klopp, and the fact that so many players have signed contract extensions in recent months shows that they believe in where the club is going. Alexander-Arnold’s extension follows quickly in the footsteps of left back Andrew Robertson’s earlier this week, meaning that the Reds have two of the Premier League’s finest full backs tied down to long term deals. That’s tremendous news moving forward, and the ecstatic reaction of the Liverpool supporters is perfectly understandable. The club is in a really good place right now and hopefully everyone at Anfield continue to make strides forward in the coming months.
