OPINION
Liverpool overcame a real scare to beat Crystal Palace 4-3 on Saturday and stretch their lead at the top of the Premier League table, but that did not stop fans from slamming the performance of centre-back Joel Matip. The Cameroon international started the match alongside Virgil van Dijk but did not have the best of outings as the Palace attack managed to expose the Reds on many occasions. Luckily for him and the rest of the backline, the Liverpool attack was on good form and managed to net four times to seal an important victory, with rivals Manchester City likely to beat Huddersfield on Sunday. Matip has struggled with injury problems at Anfield since arriving from Schalke in 2016, and a lack of regular first-team football is obviously taking its toll. Hopefully he can get back up to speed soon and prove his worth to the Liverpool fans, many of whom were not happy with his display on Saturday.

I think we need to buy a defender because Matip is injury prone and hate confrontation? and lovren is not good enough. Why even loan Clyne he is a good Rb. klopp thinks as if players will not get injuried and then what wen they do get injuries. Buy good back up like man city
