Many Liverpool fans took to social media in order to debate whether Jurgen Klopp should let youngster Rafael Camacho leave in January with Sporting Lisbon reportedly chasing his services. Sky Sports reported that the Portuguese giants remained keen on the 18-year-old attacking midfielder despite him featuring as a right-back in order to make his senior debut against Wolves on Monday. The broadcaster shared that the Reds were in fact happy for Camacho to stay at Anfield despite there being speculation amongst the media that he would head to Sporting Lisbon on loan for the rest of the season. This Sky report had Reds fans divided as one claimed he needed to go and play men’s football in order to get better as he was shocking against Wolves, while several claimed it was a bad idea as Klopp didn’t exactly have much defensive cover as it stood. However as one fan pointed out both of these views point are debatable as the 18-year-old isn’t naturally a defender anyway so it’s hard to judge his display. Then another cheekily chipped in that defender Dejan Lovren should be sent instead.
