COMMENTARY
Liverpool goalkeeper Simon Mignolet didn’t have fans singing his praises after making a rare appearance in the first team against Wolves on Monday. The 30-year-old shot-stopper has been stuck on the bench for the majority of the season and must have thought it was his time to shine, however supporters weren’t impressed with his efforts. One fan dubbed him a liability while another was urging the Reds to sanction his sale tomorrow, probably because they didn’t want to witness him play again. Jurgen Klopp’s side may have lost 2-1 to Wolves in the FA Cup but it’s hard to see why a large section of supporters on Twitter felt the need to go in so harsh on Mignolet as they did. The experienced shot-stopper hardly was at fault for any of Wolves’ goals and he didn’t really warrant having people call for his head. While the 30-year-old is clearly destined for the exit door in the near future, perhaps not this month, he has been nothing but a true professional and deserves a least a little respect from fans.

Let this side get whatever result it can muster. Don’t risk any more first team players getting injured. Rather drag Mignolet and Moreno off and throw the other two kids on for the last half an hour

Watching Mignolet play it short at the back is like watching a horse applying lipstick.

Lots of Lfc players in the shop window today but none performing well enough to attract an offer. Origi, Moreno, Studge, Mignolet.
