COMMENTARY
Some Liverpool fans on Twitter tore attacker Daniel Sturridge apart after a transfer report by Your Local Guardian claimed he was keen on a move back to London, with Crystal Palace and West Ham possible destinations. One Reds supporter took a dig at the amount of effort the player shows and claimed that the Premier League duo supposedly options for the forward would also expected more from him. The general consensus seemed to be that Sturridge’s display against Wolves on Monday was the last straw with one even claiming you could tell he wanted an exit from his facial expression. While it’s true that the forward was woeful in the FA Cup defeat to Wolves, his body language didn’t imply that he was seeking to leave Anfield. You would have expected Sturridge to show a little bit more hunger during the game as it was golden opportunity to stake a claim for first-team place, however based on the reactions below the attacker’s exit if it did occur wouldn’t cause some fans to shed a tear.
