Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp would be wise to hand back up left back Alberto Moreno a rare start against struggling Fulham on Sunday.

The Spaniard has made just two Premier League appearances this season, but Klopp should take the opportunity to give regular starter Andrew Robertson a well earned rest. The axing of the Scot would also serve as a mini-punishment for his needless Champions League suspension picked up on Wednesday.

Captain Jordan Henderson is also likely to miss out having picked up an injury against Bayern Munich, with in-form playmaker Adam Lallana the best bet to replace him.

Those two alterations would be more than enough for Klopp’s team to obliterate the Premier League strugglers, probably by three or four goals.

Alisson has been one of the finest goalkeepers in England in his debut season on these shores and must start in goal once again here. As mentioned, this game is an ideal opportunity to give Moreno a relatively straightforward run-out at left back.

Trent Alexander-Arnold should keep his place on the right hand side of defence having impressed against Franck Ribery on Wednesday, while Joel Matip and Virgil van Dijk won’t be going anywhere at the heart of the back four.

In midfield, James Milner and Georginio Wijnaldum should both remain in place having played well against the German giants. Lallana, meanwhile, was in fine form against Burnley last Sunday and has to start once again as a result.

The Reds’ front three essentially picks itself at this stage. Sadio Mane is in absolutely blistering form and he, alongside Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino, will surely be too much for the Cottagers.
