It’s not very often that a player of Adrien Rabiot’s quality and potential becomes available.

The French international has been ostracised at PSG having not played for the French champions in December, when he announced that he would not be extending his contract with the club.

The divide between player and team was widened after he went out partying in the aftermath of PSG’s Champions League exit at the hands of Manchester United, and Spanish outlet Sport have suggested that he could be set for crunch talks over his future today.

The chances are that no resolution will be solved, with the 23-year-old’s relationship with the club so badly broken that it’s hard to see it being fixed.

If the inevitable comes to fruition and Rabiot is told that he can leave the club, then Liverpool must be ready and waiting to pounce on him as soon as possible.

French outlet Paris United have previously claimed that the midfielder would favour a move to the Reds, and if that is true, then they must take advantage.

According to Sport’s report, the midfielder would be looking for a salary of around £160,000-a-week, and while that may be a lot or a player so young, his potential is nearly boundless.

Rabiot is a smart, classy midfielder who links the game well and offers a killer range of passing. In other words, he would be an asset for any side, and his signing could take Liverpool to the next level in their hunt for glory.
