Gary Neville has claimed that Real Madrid and Barcelona would take Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane from Liverpool as soon as they could if they became available.

Salah and Mane have scored 43 goals between them in all competitions this season, and both were on the scoresheet on Sunday as Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-0 at Anfield to go to the top of the table.

Manchester United legend Neville believes that Real and Barca would bite Liverpool’s arm off to snap up the two attackers.

“Real Madrid and Barcelona would want all four of them tomorrow,” Neville said on Sky Sports’ Monday Night Football [07:39pm].

“Usually what they do is pick the next best players in the world.

“Salah, Mane, [Raheem] Sterling, [Leroy] Sane. You could probably add Bernardo Silva to that for Barcelona’s point of view.

“You could probably put those five into a pot and Barcelona and Real Madrid have always plucked the best players out of our country and would take every single one of them tomorrow.”

OPINION

Salah and Mane have been sensational for Liverpool in the last few years and while Salah took most of the headlines last season, Mane has done this season. The Senegal international has been a real driving force for the Reds this term as they aim to win their first ever Premier League title. Although Salah has been amazing for the Merseyside giants, he has not been as good as last term, and during his lull, Mane has been the man to step up. Aside from Virgil van Dijk, Mane has been Liverpool’s player of the season and losing him at this stage of the campaign would probably cause more disruption for Liverpool than if they lost Salah. Hopefully Klopp doesn’t have to deal with losing any of his key players with just a handful of games to play in the Premier League. But if they did, you would have that it’s anyone but Mane.
