Jurgen Klopp is predicted to make two changes to his starting line-up ahead of Liverpool’s Champions League quarter final showdown with Porto on Wednesday night.

Dejan Lovren and Georginio Wijnaldum could both return to the side for the second-leg meeting at the Estadio do Dragao after they started on the bench for the 2-0 win against Chelsea on Sunday.

Joel Matip is likely to be axed and make way for Lovren after the Croatia international shut out Porto in the 2-0 win in the first-leg at Anfield.

Matip has been a mainstay for the Reds this term, appearing 25 times in all competitions, but he could be someone who loses his place for the Champions League action this week.

In the second change, Wijnaldum might replace Jordan Henderson because the Liverpool captain went off with an injury at the weekend and might not be risked against the Portuguese giants.

Alisson is predicted to start in goals behind a back-four of Alexander-Arnold, Lovren, Virgil van Dijk and Andrew Robertson, who was suspended for the first-leg but is now available once again.

Fabinho could play in the deeper-lying midfield position with Naby Keita, who scored in the first-leg victory over Porto, and Wijnaldum both starting in the more advanced roles.

Klopp’s attack has barely changed all season and even though his side hold a two-goal advantage going into the second leg, it would be a massive shock if Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino were not his three men up front this week.
