Jurgen Klopp has assembled one of the finest squads Liverpool have had in many, many years at Anfield, but he will still feel that there is room for improvement.

The Reds have a wonderful starting 11, and decent depth in central positions, but in certain areas they lack some real strength in depth.

Arguably the most striking example of this is in their forward line. The current front three, Mo Salah, Roberto Firmino, and Sadio Mane, are sublime, but beyond them, the Reds look as if they could be lacking quality up front.

It’s no surprise, therefore, that they have been linked with a host of attacking talent already as the season approaches its end, with one such name being Memphis Depay.

According to the Mirror, the Reds could be tempted to make a move for the Lyon winger this summer as they look to add strength to their front line.

That pursuit could be made a whole lot easier if latest reports from France are to be believed.

According to Get French Football News, Depay was one of four players involved in training ground altercations at the French club this week, and was subsequently left out of the starting line up for their clash against Nantes on Friday night.

With rumours circulating as to his imminent exit, this surely shows a level of discontent that can only be read as a good thing for those side looking to sign him.

If the report is true, the Reds must punch on him before somebody else does.
