Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain has uploaded a video of Mo Salah to his Instagram story ahead of Liverpool’s trip to their training camp in Marbella.

The 25-year old was named in the squad travelling to the training camp ahead of the Reds’ tie with Spurs in the Champions League final, and was accompanied by a certain Egyptian on the plane journey to Spain.

The midfielder proceeded to take a snap of Salah, who had fallen asleep on the floor of the plane, resulting in a cheeky video for Liverpool fans to enjoy.

In a story posted from his personal Instagram account, Oxlade-Chamberlain wrote a cheeky five-word caption on video: “Egyptian kings need sleep too @mosalah”

The 25-year old then followed this up with another video of the Egyptian, captioned: “Did you know an Egyptian king can’t be woken up and will remain unphased sound asleep until he himself is ready to wake?”

OPINION

This is a brilliant sight for Liverpool fans, ahead of their Champions League final with Spurs. Although the cheeky remark is humorous and funny for Reds’ fans, it also shows how the Liverpool players are in brilliant spirits ahead of the all-important European fixture. Oxlade-Chamberlain’s comment on the sleeping Salah is a cheeky yet sarcastic joke, and makes for an entertaining watch for Liverpool fans to see their top goalscorer simply sleeping peacefully on a plane heading towards what promises to be a tough training camp in Marbella. The 25-year old hasn’t been involved too much as of late for the Reds due to an injury which has been keeping him on the sidelines for the second half of the Premier League season, however it’s a positive sign that the midfielder has been named in the Liverpool squad travelling to Spain ahead of the Champions League final in Madrid. Oxlade-Chamberlain will no doubt be hoping that he can end his season on a high, and be involved in the final in June.
