Liverpool will be offered Real Madrid midfielder Marco Asensio as part of a swap deal for forward Sadio Mane, according to the Express.
It is understood that the 23-year-old could be used as a makeweight in any potential move to take the Senegalese international to Spain.
The report suggests Asensio is worth around £85 million, and that Jurgen Klopp is a fan of his.

Quite a bit to unpack here. On the one hand, Asensio is a serious talent – albeit one who has lost his way a little in recent times. A pass completion rate of 87.7% and an average dispossession of just 0.6 times per match [Whoscored] show a player who has a supreme amount of ability, but the general feeling in the Spanish capital is that he isn’t operating at his full potential for Real. The fact that the club are willing to let him go should tell you all you need to know on that front. Nonetheless, he would be a fantastic signing for the Reds. If it meant losing Sadio Mane in the process, however, then maybe not so much. The Senegalese international has shown that he is absolutely vital to Jurgen Klopp’s men, and replacing him would be a very difficult task, even with player of Asensio’s obvious abilities.
