Liverpool could be tempted to sell Ryan Kent to the likes of Rangers this summer if they were to table a “sizable” bid and the player demonstrated a desire to move, according to BT Sport presenter Darrell Currie.
The broadcast host and journalist claims on his personal Twitter account that the Reds are not looking to send him on loan for a third successive season, having spent the 2018/19 campaign at Ibrox, but that Jurgen Klopp is planning on running the rule over the winger during Liverpool’s pre-season preparations.
As it stands Liverpool have no interest in loaning out Ryan Kent again. Klopp wants to see him in pre-season to assess his development. Things might change later in the window but Kent himself will have to push very hard to make this happen.

A bit more on Ryan Kent:
If a sizeable bid was made and Kent himself wanted to go then Liverpool would be more inclined to sell.
Over to the Rangers board…— Darrell Currie (@darrellcurrietv) June 26, 2019
The Scottish reporter went on to say that the Premier League giants and reigning Champions League champions would be more open to selling if an offer was tabled and the 22-year-old wanted to leave, while stating that things could change over his status at Anfield as summer progresses.
Opinion
It sounds as though the Anfield outfit are simply waiting for an offer to come their way, rather than inviting potential suitors to table bids. Klopp could probably find a space in his shallow squad for Kent as back up for the likes of Mo Salah and Sadio Mane, although his playing time would be severely limited. As Currie says, things are likely to change between now and the final weeks of the summer transfer window and you can be sure that Klopp will have made his decision on where Kent stands in relation to the first team at Anfield. Rangers meanwhile will be desperate to take him back to Ibrox after his dazzling campaign in Glasgow and it seems as though they have a chance either with a hefty bid or by biding their time and sealing a deal late in the summer. This is going to be a saga which drags on over the next couple of weeks but with Europa League qualifiers on the horizon, Rangers could do with new arrivals sooner rather than later.
