Eqypt defeated DR Congo 2-0 on Wednesday in the African Cup of Nations and it seems a lot of Liverpool fans were paying attention to the international clash. This was likely because Reds attacker Mohamed Salah was playing, but it seems they were open to checking out the other players in action. One of the players who was in action and caught the eye of some Liverpool fans was Kasimpasa attacker Mahoumd Hassan, better known as Trezeguet. The 24-year-old winger previously had some Liverpool fans raving about him during his display for Eqypt in the 1-0 win over Zimbabwe, with a couple being keen on recruiting him, however after watching his latest display; there were notably more Liverpool fans urging for their club to sign him. Trezeguet went on a blistering run to play Salah through on a goal, the Liverpool attacker scored from the opportunity, and for that reason, it’s easy to see why many were keen to see them link-up at Anfield. The Egyptian pair seemed to understand each other and who knows, the 24-year-old could compete with Salah for the title of Egyptian King at the club. However, it is worth noting that any move for the 24-year-old would be a bit of a gamble as he is currently playing his football in Turkey’s top-flight so it’s hard to know if he could make the jump to England. Yet then again, he was involved in 19 goals in his 38 outings during the 2018/19 campaign so maybe he needs to make the step up in order to challenge himself.
