With the transfer window in full swing, all eyes are on Anfield this summer.

Will Jurgen Klopp go big and splash the cash in a desperate attempt to out-punch Manchester City in their bid for a first league title in 30 years, or will he be content with what he has and believe that Liverpool have enough in their locker already to see off the Blues?

You would wager that it could be a case of the latter, but that doesn’t mean that their won’t be some signings made at some point.

It would be no surprise if Klopp moved for a new left-back and a striker, with Alberto Moreno and Daniel Sturridge both set to leave at the end of their current contracts.

Beyond that, it’s hard to see where the squad could need improving, but there are some opportunities that you have to seize with both hands when they become available, regardless of overriding transfer strategy.

The latest name being linked with a move to Merseyside is that of West Brom’s 19-year-old starlet, Rekeem Harper.

According to the Mirror, the Reds are keeping tabs on the midfielder, who is out of contract this summer, alongside the likes of Juventus and Tottenham.

That in itself should tell you just how much potential the lad has, but the stats also show just how well he has done in his breakout year at the Hawthorns.

Harper averaged a pass completion rate of 85.4% and 1.2 dribbles per game for the Baggies last term, as well as being dribbled past just 0.6 times per match [Whoscored].

Clearly then, he is an all-action, well-rounded player with the potential to kick on and become even better again.

If the Reds can snap him up on a free this summer, perhaps sending him out on loan to further his development, they could have a very special prospect on their hands.

This could be another Klopp masterstroke.
