Having rotated with Loris Karius during the 2017/18 campaign, the arrival of Alisson Becker means that Simon Mignolet has had to settle for a back-up role at Liverpool. The Belgian has featured heavily on the bench under Jurgen Klopp and has shown no signs of poor attitude as he looks to have accepted his role at the club. It was revealed on Monday by the Times that the Reds expect Mignolet to remain at the club despite rumours linking him with a move away. The German boss is reported to be impressed with the 31-year-old’s attitude this season, something which is highlighted when you look at his appearances. It is hard to find a much better back-up stopper in the league and Mignolet has proven his worth in a lesser role this term. The 22 cap-international knows what it takes to be a player for the Reds and offers invaluable experience having made 204 appearances for the Champions League winners.
