CSKA Moscow have approached Liverpool with an enquiry about forward Taiwo Awoniyi, according to Times journalist Paul Joyce.
The reporter claimed via his personal Twitter account on Sunday that the Europa League side have made contact about potentially signing the 21-year-old this summer, with Liverpool placing a £15million price-tag on his head.

Awoniyi has never made a senior appearance for Liverpool and spent last season on loan with Belgian sides Gent and Mouscron.
OPINION
It is clear that Awoniyi is not someone who is likely to break into Jurgen Klopp’s first team any time soon. Although he was in good form while on loan at Mouscron last season, even Daniel Sturridge’s exit is unlikely to open up a spot for the Nigerian forward in Klopp’s plans. Awoniyi scored 14 goals in 38 appearances across all competitions while playing for both Gent and Mouscron last term – though only three of those goals were for Gent – and that has unsurprisingly attracted attention from elsewhere in Europe. Liverpool are having a laugh with the £15million valuation though. There’s no way that they can demand that much money for someone who isn’t in their plans and has never played in a top European league. It would be a shock if Awoniyi moved away from Anfield for anything more than £10million considering that he flopped at Gent before joining Mouscron.
