Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp provided an update on how Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain’s return from injury was going and admitted that the midfielder was battling a calf problem. The Liverpool boss shared that the 25-year-old had been a bit “unlucky with a calf problem” recently as he suggested that it flared up from time to time when the intensity of the game got too high (Source: Daily Mail). Oxlade-Chamberlain managed to feature for only 19 minutes in the Premier League last season with a knee injury keeping him on the sidelines for 293 days (Source: Transfermarkt). It’s no surprise that the Reds midfielder isn’t fully up-to-speed after such a long time out, but it seems a shame that he has been dealt a bit of bad luck by picking up a calf problem which is no doubt proving to be another hurdle for him to overcome. While one Reds fan below shared their sympathy towards this setback for Oxlade-Chamberlain, others just felt worried about how the midfielder may not be able to regularly feature in his upcoming campaign. Two Liverpool supporters below even dismissed the team’s Premier League title chances, which shows how important they view Oxlade-Chamberlain as being.
