Jurgen Klopp confirmed, via the club’s official website, that Liverpool defender Dejan Lovren will feature against Bradford on Sunday, and it saw some Liverpool fans despair on social media. The German manager confirmed that Loven “will be playing” some part against Bradford after not featuring in the Reds’ 6-0 win over Tranmere Rovers on Thursday. One Liverpool fan claimed Lovren featuring gave Bradford the advantage, while another urged the Reds to offload the centre-back rather than play him. It’s so weird that some Liverpool fans feel the need to rip into Lovren even during pre-season as the 30-year-old isn’t the worst player that could be called upon. The 30-year-old featured 13 times in the Premier League last season, winning 4.1 of his aerial duels per game and impressively averaging a rating of 7.08 (Source: WhoScored). When you consider this, isn’t it time Lovren was cut some slack?
