Liverpool had another pre season friendly on Thursday morning UK time and, again, it didn’t quite produce the desired result. The game ended 2-2 with Portuguese heavyweights Sporting Lisbon, with Divock Origi and Georginio Wijnaldum on target for Jurgen Klopp’s team. However, it was the performance of Sporting playmaker Bruno Fernandes which really grabbed the Reds’ supporters’ attention. The club are purported to be very interested in the Portugal international, with the Daily Star reporting earlier this summer that the European champions have held talks with the 24-year-old. It’s clear, though, that after his most recent performance, the Liverpool fans are more than ready to welcome the playmaker to Anfield. To be fair, he bagged a goal and assist against the best side in Europe, so there’s no arguing with the fact that he’s a top quality player – world class, even, as one supporter says. He’d be a phenomenal addition, but an unlikely one.
