Liverpool may have lost 3-2 to Borussia Dortmund in the early hours of Saturday morning, but it didn’t stop many Liverpool fans being left in awe of midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain. The 25-year-old midfielder stood out for all the right reasons in the first-half of Saturday’s clash as he just looked powerful and strong when on the ball. Oxlade-Chamberlain seemed to glide past his opponents and even managed to break out the party tricks at one point, and this saw one Liverpool fan take to social media to point out how the Reds ace had turned into a prime Ronaldinho. While there were times when Oxlade-Chamberlain was a little sloppy in possession, which is understandable given it’s pre-season, it’s no surprise a few Liverpool fans below wanted him named Man of the Match. The 25-year-old had a disappointing 2018/19 campaign due to injury as he was only able to feature for 19 minutes, as per Transfermarket, in the Premier League. However, Chamberlain, who has scored five goals and assisted eight during the 44 appearances he has made for the Reds since joining from Arsenal, will surely have a huge part to play in the upcoming season based on his latest display.
