COMMENTARY
John Aldridge revealed, via his verified Twitter account, that he had honoured Liverpool winning their sixth Champions League trophy by getting his first tattoo. The Reds legend shared that he got inked for the first time in his life to show his respect to all the magnificent Liverpool teams that had achieved European glory. Aldridge added that he had been so lucky to support a side for 55 years that had given him so much delight, and clearly he thought it was worth getting a tattoo for. Some Liverpool fans responded to Aldridge’s tattoo to share they were impressed by his ink, as one said it was boss, another called it quality, while a few revealed they loved it. The 60-year-old scored 50 goals in 83 appearances for Liverpool and helped the club win the league title, FA Cup and two charity shields during his stint at Anfield. So given how successful Aldridge was at the club, it’s nice to see him pay tribute to the stars of the past as well as the stars of today.
