Liverpool went into their first real test of pre-season against Borussia Dortmund in good health, with a number of their youngsters impressing against both Tranmere and Bradford. Jurgen Klopp has found a mix of youth and experience that has molded together well, with fringe players such as Adam Lallana and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain excelling in midfield. That was until before the game with Dortmund, when it was revealed by journalist Neil Jones on his personal Twitter account, that Lallana had picked up a fresh injury, something that didn’t go down well with the Reds’ fans. Liverpool fans have every right to be disgruntled, with Lallana struggling to make an impact last season on top of this. The 31-year-old doesn’t have a leg to stand on at the moment, with this being the 12th injury he has picked up since arriving at Anfield in 2014, missing a total of 67 games – almost two full seasons [Source: Transfermarkt]. Many Liverpool fans took to Twitter to react to the news, with many calling on Klopp to get rid of the England international, who they were made to believe would be like a new signing this summer.
