Liverpool have barely started their pre-season preparations at Melwood yet already one of their players is in competitive action – albeit for their loan side. Sheyi Ojo was sent north of the border to spend the season with Steven Gerrard at Rangers and with the Light Blues having to go through the test of Europa League qualifiers, their season is already underway. The Gers kicked off their campaign with a visit to St Joseph’s in Gibraltar and it did not take long for the Liverpool prospect to make his mark, hitting a floated effort past the goalkeeper 10 minutes into the second half to double his side’s lead. While he will not be playing for the Reds any time soon, it appears his goal caught the eye of the Liverpool faithful on Twitter. Having seen Ryan Kent impress during his loan spell at Ibrox, the hope will be that Ojo can show the same dazzling form as his fellow winger. Early signs suggest he could waltz his way into the hearts of the Rangers fans.
