Liverpool lost 2-1 to Sevilla on Sunday in what was a weirdly fiery game for pre-season, and the loss had some Liverpool fans believing that certain players weren’t good enough for Jurgen Klopp’s side. One player who many Liverpool fans proceeded to rip apart following the loss to Sevilla was Harry Wilson. The Reds winger started the clash with the Spanish side, and nothing really worked out for him despite his clear efforts. Wilson’s most memorable moments in the game were that he struck a free-kick straight into the wall, and the fact he took an elbow to the face. The 22-year-old had one Reds fan tweet to share they thought he and teammate Ryan Kent were “Sunday league” players, while another suggested Wilson should be sold based on his display in pre-season. It would be harsh for Wilson to be sold based on his outings in pre-season, but it doesn’t seem like he isn’t making a case for why he should be in the Reds’ first-team, so perhaps another loan move should beckon? After all, the 22-year-old seemed to flourish when at loan at Derby last season as he scored 18 goals as well as assisted six in 49 appearances, and averaged a rating of 7.01 across his league outings (Source: WhoScored).
