Liverpool goalkeeper Adrian took to Instagram to rave about Reds teammate Sadio Mane after the 2-1 win against Southampton.
Mane took to his personal Instagram after the victory over the Saints on Saturday to congratulate his teammates on the win by saying “well done boys”, and ended up getting a glowing message from the Spanish shot-stopper.
“You are on fire,” wrote Adrian, via his verified Instagram account.
Mane scored on Saturday against the Saints to put the Reds ahead just before the half-time break, with teammate Roberto Firmino scoring what would turn out to be the winning goal in the 71st minute.

Mane impressed during his outing against the Saints and his ability to be clinical in front of goal turned out to be very important, especially to Adrian. The goalkeeper made a blunder in the 83rd minute as he kicked the ball straight into the path of Saints forward Danny Ings, and the former Liverpool man wasted no time seizing his golden chance to score. Ings nearly made it 2-2 before the final whistle as he had a chance to score from inside the six-yard box, but he fluffed his lines and Adrian was left breathing a sigh of relief. However, it seems Adrian was aware of how lucky he was on Saturday and made sure to thank one of the teammates who helped cover his blushes by messaging Mane after the match. Mane achieved an impressively high rating of 8.7, as per WhoScored, on Saturday and it was no surprise that he ended up with the Man of the Match award. Hopefully, Mane is able to continue his impressive form as if he does then it won’t really matter if Adrian ends up making a blunder or two in the coming weeks, as the attacker is good enough to make his teammate’s errors not matter.
