Bobby Ducan is growing concerned about the lack of game-time he is going to get in Liverpool’s first-team over the coming season and is open to a loan exit away from Anfield to join a club in Europe, according to the Daily Mail.

The newspaper claims that Danish side Nordsjaelland have made a “formal” bid to sign the 18-year-old forward on loan and have offered to pay all of his wages for the duration of the season-long agreement.

It is understood that Ducan, who started on the bench for Liverpool’s Under-23s on Monday, does not see a clear pathway for him to break into Jurgen Klopp’s senior set-up.

OPINION

Ducan is one of the most highly-rated young players at Anfield and it is understandable that he wants to get increased first-team chances. Although a loan move to a team like Nordsjaelland does not seem that attractive as they are not a well-known team in England, it is still better for him to be playing men’s football in Denmark than Under-23s football here. It seems like Duncan cannot even guarantee a starting spot in the Under-23s at the moment due to Rhian Brewster being in the side and with Brewster ahead of him, that’s just one more person standing between him and a spot in the first-team. Klopp has not really given as much chances to young Liverpool players as fans thought he would when he first arrived at Anfield, but no one can blame him for that when he is coming close to winning the Premier League and lifting the Champions League. However Duncan might not be the only highly-rated teenager on Merseyside who is having these thoughts unless Klopp can offer them some assurances.
