Mark Goldbridge boldly claimed that he could see Liverpool and Manchester City winning all their leagues games this season barring their clashes with each other.

Goldbridge, who is the host of the United Stand on YouTube, suggested that Tottenham could potentially avoid defeat to Liverpool and Man City, but aside from that, he saw Jurgen Klopp’s and Pep Guardiola’s side being able to rack up win after win in the Premier League.

“When do Liverpool or Man City play each other or Spurs? Because can see them winning every other game this season,” wrote the YouTuber on his personal Twitter account.

Goldbridge made the remarks during Man City’s opening Premier League game against West Ham, where they ended up winning 5-0.

OPINION

Liverpool beat Norwich City 4-1 at Anfield on Friday night in their opening Premier League game, before Man City recorded an emphatic win of their own. Given that the pair looked a level above everyone else in the Premier League last season, it’s no surprise that Goldbridge has ended up backing both sides to potentially rack up more wins this season. Man City finished top of the league in their 2018/19 campaign, with 98 points, after winning 32 games, drawing twice and suffering four defeats, while Liverpool ended up second with 97 points after winning 30 matches while drawing seven and losing one. If Goldbridge ends up being right to claim that Liverpool and Man City could end up realistically losing only to each other, or Spurs, then they could end up breaking the 100 points barrier. Considering Liverpool didn’t overly strengthen in the summer, they signed Adrian, Harvey Elliott and Sepp van den Berg, it would be some achievement if they did better than last season.
