Manchester United supporter and YouTube star Mark Goldbridge has predicted that Liverpool will win the Premier League this season.
The Reds missed out on that elusive title by the narrowest of margins to Manchester City last time out, but Goldbridge, who runs the YouTube channel The United Stand, believes they have made up the gap on Pep Guardiola’s side.
“Still a week to go but as things stand Premier League Top 6,” he wrote on his personal Twitter account.
“1. Liverpool 2. City 3. Spurs 4. United 5. Chelsea 6. Arsenal. Even progress is going to hurt if this happens…..”

OPINION
Well, this is certainly what the Liverpool supporters will be hoping happens this season, but at the moment it’s difficult to quite put all your faith in the Reds beating out City for the title. When you look at what the champions have done this summer, you have to say that their business is more likely to affect the first team picture than what Jurgen Klopp has achieved. Two teenagers have been brought in by Liverpool, whereas Guardiola spent big on a top class central midfielder in Rodri who will eventually replace one of his team’s best players. Obviously the Reds have players who were injured coming back into the fray, most notably Joe Gomez, Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Rhian Brewster. Will that be enough to overthrow City, though? It’s debatable. However, what seems almost certain is that Liverpool will once again finish above their fierce rivals United. That in and of itself is cause for happiness for the red half of Merseyside.
