COMMENTARY
Some Liverpool supporters on Twitter raved about Real Betis playmaker Nabil Fekir on Sunday after he featured for the La Liga club against Barcelona. The 26-year-old scored in the 15th minute of the clash with Barcelona to show signs of his talent, before his side then proceeded to get steamrolled and lose 5-2. Fekir’s display on Sunday averaged a rating of 7.61 on WhoScored, which is impressive given the scoreline, as he managed to fire three shots at goal as well as maintain a pass completion rate of 94.7%. Some Liverpool fans will forever continue to keep an eye on the attacking midfielder as they view him as the one that got away. The Reds nearly signed the playmaker in the summer of 2018, as reported by the Liverpool Echo, as a deal was all but done before the club pulled the plug at the 11th hour. However, while Jurgen Klopp may have moved on, some Liverpool fans clearly still wish the 26-year-old was at Anfield as one even claimed he was running the show against Barcelona.
