OPINION

It remains to be seen how much of a blow this is for Liverpool to miss out on Taylor but as he is so young, it’s probably not worth every worrying about. Taylor seems to have a lot of potential. Aston Villa’s academy is very good at what it does and the number of top English clubs who were eyeing the young midfielder says all you need to know about him. Liverpool have their own good academy though and they are bound to have their own 14-years-old who have the potential to one day play in the Premier League. Jurgen Klopp needs to start handing more opportunities to these players though. Some of them have impressed in pre-season but the team news against Manchester City on Sunday suggests that those youngsters will struggle for first-team opportunities this term. Rhian Brewster is someone who needs to be featuring otherwise he might want to leave next summer.
